Voltron is going to be added to the Adult Swim lineup. I honestly don’t know how I feel about this. I also don’t know how I feel about the Voltron movie that’s supposed to come out in 2008.

Actually, the one thought that keeps popping up is, “it’s official! I’m old!”

Seriously. It’s obvious now. The marketers have noticed. Instead of marketing towards me because I’m young, hip, and edgy. Now they are trying to help me regain my lost childhood. It’s only a matter of time before the AARP sends me a membership card and I start spending my afternoons trying to keep those noisy kids off my lawn.

The more I think about it, the more depressed I get. I was actually looking forward to the Transformers movie. At first I was grateful that the technology had advanced to the point where they were able to realize some of my greatest childhood dreams. Now I realize that it’s just Hollywood pandering to my generation.

I have more to say about this, but I’m going to stop here. The more I think about it the more bitter I feel about the whole situation.
